  • Ultrasonic labelling machine

The ultrasonic labelling machine permanently fixes the labels to the pot by fusing the pot and label together. The labelling machine dispenses the labels from a magazine and inserts them into the pot. The ultrasonic head then fuses the label to the pot. The label can also be welded to the outside of the pot, providing greater freedom in terms of label shape.

This is particularly advantageous for labels which cannot be inserted into the pot easily, for example if the plant pot is topped with bark or another type of mulch, causing the label to fall out of the pot. A label that is firmly attached to the pot will not go astray during transport, and consumers will not be able to switch the labels in the shop.

The label is welded in place by ultrasonic vibrations. These are high-frequency sound vibrations which almost melt the molecules in the plastic, causing them to stick to one other. The process is very fast. The label is firmly attached as soon as it has been welded in place and does not need to harden. Ultrasonic labelling is a clean, environmentally friendly process; it does not produce any waste, smoke or steam.
